University Marketing Platform

Abstract

University Marketing Platform lets students search and compare study programmes and universities across Europe in one place. It also gives universities a way to promote their courses to a wider pool of applicants.

I built it with Next.js on the frontend and Node.js on the back end. Alongside a scraper that keeps the catalogue of programmes up to date, I wrote an algorithm that evaluates and ranks each university’s social media presence. That ranking logic draws on two research papers: “Market, Society, and Education - University Marketing” (Kloppenburg, 2012) and “Evaluation and implementation of university social media ratings for a corporate website” (Schuler, 2022).
